Hi P, Ive been wondering how you went with trying to get hold of those Perth Pink Callistemon? Did you have any luck with the nursweries I put you onto? I noticed recently as I was looking through one of their catalogues that they have Perth Pink listed and it made me think of it.

OMG - I tried to call once and got the wrong time thing and then ... I forgot. I am so silly sometimes with memory. I had a brain haemorrhage a few years ago and it means that I do forget things. Also I used to be a person with an exceptional memory so have a lifetime habit of never writing anything down and so now that my memory is very poor, it means I goof up a lot.

I'd love to know the nursery and I will give them a call. My windbreak/ border is missing quite a few Pink Perths and only the other day I was sad that my attempts at propagation were useless ... can you tell me the name of the nursery with them? And their phone number if you have it.

Many thanks!!!!!

no worries P! this is the place here Zanthorrhea nursery, it might be easier to email them with the time difference

http://www.zanthorrea.com/contact.php

if you go here it takes you to their online catalogue and skip ahead to page 7 to find Perth Pink (I can't link directly to that page)

http://www.zanthorrea.com/plants.php

I only just stumbled across their website recently, I didnt even know they had an online catalogue

oh i'd believe it Pamela, when I bought my my olive grevilleas at another native nursery the old guy (who has written books on wa natives) told me they only get as tall as him, he didnt believe me when I told him my neighbour has one that quickly grew to about 4 metres! so I dont know where they get the sizes from

good luck! These people have an excellent reputation and my neighbour has been going out there for years for his natives and swears by Zanthorhea, and he has the most beautiful natives Ive ever seen.
