There were a heap of rocks dug up when the new driveway was being done and we couldn't just let good garden features go to waste... always need more big rocks Plenty more smaller ones still down there when we are ready. Also a couple of nice big ones but I think they will be too heavy for us to move (the big ones in the pics took two of us) and they had rolled part way down a bank so hard to get the car close.

Don't know what we will do with them yet, still tossing around a couple of ideas.

The big ones will just be features in the gardens... but have to decide where as we only want to move them once!! The smaller ones will probably edge a garden or path... I can see an aching back coming

Some nice ones there Gail, would look nice after the rains as well

My basic weeding rule: if they grow in rows they're flowers;
if they don't they're weeds.

Gail I see a dry stone wall in front of a slope ,filled up with soil and planted with favourits things.

I have no idea what type of rock it is, not limestone, but it breaks/splits easily into irregular shaped pieces - often with sharp edges.

The idea is good Gwen but I don't think there would be enough rocks to do a decent job with the slopes we have around here. We still have a pathway that needs an edging - it is across a slope so needs something on the sides to stop it washing.
