I've bin holding back posting back here till i had time to think how i was going to respond.
Firstly Gwen you are simply fantastic that finding all those funny cartoon graphics, you're coming up with some crackers now
Ok barrows, the carnation barrow was cheap,it was crap,i put up with the bloody thing for too long and the best thing i did with it was to plant a carnation in it.After that i decided that i was going buy any **** barrows again,i needed two, one for carting green stuff from garden to the compost heap and two, one for heavy work. The black poly barrow(wooden wheel) is wide, holds a lot, which i wanted and works well with the wooded wheel...now. The real mans barrow, You are right M A in that they have to feel comfortable with the barrow whether you are short, tall, fat, drunk or what ever it, needs to suit the user. The real mans barrow is classed as a contractors barrow and cost me $200,and after 6 months of use making cement, digging out a drive way, making a landfill mountain to be later planted in dianthus,I'm more than happy how it performs. What i like about it is it has a narrow and deep bin,the handles are wide enough that my arms are vertical while the back still remains straight. All so its made out of heavy duty steel that and will give me years of use if i dont leave out in the elements to rust.
