Honestly it does not matter where I look there is something big on the plants every day.. This one would have been 10 cms long and so hungry, not for long though.
Seen this one when I was feeding the Westerland Rose..

Tony smacked it in the head Then gave it too the girls Yum they said.
Note the deflated head/face... And the eyes have gone strange and the mouth is open

It did not have time to suffer one quick wack between Tony's hands it was by bye bye right off. Of course it died with a fully belly I think unless it was laying eggs.. Humm I wonder if they are eggs just below its right leg. I will crop a pic and have a look..
Not much in fresh water fish on line. I found out it cost $35 for a annual permit to fish in the 33 dams we have here, I wonder if they make you pay for the fish too.. But you dont need a licence to fish anywhere in Qld like you do in Victoria unless that has changed since we lived there.

If you forget the pest side of the insect , is'nt it a georgeous creature ,those exquisite wings,. the whole structure so beautifully designed.
Maybe it was feeding on these

No not really Cheryl you either got it or you haven't...
I guess you are right Gwen all creatures have something good going for them. I just wish 99% of them did not want to devour all my plants..
Gwen would you believe I have never seen a Centipede or Millipede anywhere in this garden.

I could send you plenty of both insects Another thing we get when its very wet is black leeches which crawl up onto the concrete verandah.
