We have these on our block . They have a bad reputation .
Just because they are no too pretty
They will not kill anyone and are active at night time.

sorry Gwen not going to watch the utube

My basic weeding rule: if they grow in rows they're flowers;
if they don't they're weeds.

I don't mind spiders but wouldn't want to come across one of those unexpectedly on a dark night... give you nightmares. Fascinating though. The bite may not be harmful to humans but a bite from anything with 1 inch fangs has gotta hurt!!

Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is knowing not to use it in a fruit salad.

I was talking to John {gardener} yesterday about these spiders .
He was saying he had a visitor fron NZ, recently and during the night the
guest ran out of the house screaming like a banchee.
A bird eating spider walked across his bed, he saw it in the full moonlight.
Poor man he'll never return for a holiday.
John has no fly screens .

If you want to live and thrive, let the spider run alive.

I dont mind spiders either I prefer the large to the small, at least you can see them and they dont go up your nose or in your mouth or ear when you are asleep but I would not like to wake up with that crawling on my face either..

I have seen them with I lived up North Gwen.. And there is no way I would live anywhere in Queensland in a house with no insect screens
