Nit into Wattles MA, but I do prefer that one to the one with a balls on it They all make you sneeze
My basic weeding rule: if they grow in rows they're flowers; if they don't they're weeds.

I dont have any problems with this one Cheryl.
Plenty of other flowers effect me something terrible,. That White Butterfly Ginger is a potent one for me.

Our acacias are all flowering now too... a sign that summer is starting to come to an end
Mary-Anne, are you sure that is Acacia auriculiformis and not Acacia concurrens. If it is an acacia that has come up by itself it is most likely concurrens which is endemic to SE Qld and can be like a weed sometimes. A auriculiformis is from around Darwin way and has a wider leaf. Ours here are all A concurrans. A auriculiformis, Acacia mearnsii from down south and A concurrens are all known as Black Wattles

There are native wattles here about, along the roadsides but I don't grow any. My red soil I don't think they would like, too rich and moist.
