Two anthuriums flowering - the pale pink one that Marlene gave me and a red I have just bought.

Pink Ixora

Justicia carnea - just recently had to cut it back as it fell over so is only just starting to flower again

Kaempferia pulchra, Peacock Ginger, is growing well.

Berries on the Syzigium 'Cascade'

All very pretty Gail, those Anthuriums are lovely all mine are coming along so well too..
That Justicia carnea stays in flower for long time I dont have one but my neighbour does she told me to help myself to cuttings I cannot be bothered now
The Ixora is just a gorgeous plant, and the berries on the Syzygium always look good.

The Justicia does flower for a long time but ours blew over so we had to cut it right back. Gave me a chance to get some cuttings though which have all struck
Gwen, that is the same Kaempheria. It has doubled in size - has an extra two leaves
Mary-Anne, these are the only two anthuriums of mine that are flowering for me. Even my little pink one which is rarely without a flower isn't flowering which is strange as it is the ideal weather for them. Your Mississippi is growing well but hasn't flowered yet... hopefully soon.

Thanks Ed. I bought a Anthurium scherzerianum a couple of weeks ago but it isn't flowering yet.

Thanks Ota. You have quite a few different ones that we don't have too.
Mary-Anne, A scherzerianum is an orange coloured flower and it can have a strange shape I've been after one for a while.

Gail is it the species or a hybrid?? I have one which I think is the species but have another one with mottled orange which would be a hybrid. Interesting how the spadix curls like a pigs tail

Our Anthurium from a GD member is showing a bud for the 2nd flowering .I only have 2 a red and a purple ,the purple has not yet flowered. I remember when we lived in Bangkok we used to buy in the markets bunches of Anthuriums, of about 15 flowers to a bunch for 5 cents in aus.money. The same with bunches of orchids.Pitta.
