Next year I will do better with much bigger stakes and netting and pruning daily. Haqve to remember the taste and make myself do that. And maybe I will experiment with a few different seeds. Next eyar ... now all I have to do is make oodles more sauce....

Tessa have your grown cherokee purple before? It's a beautiful tasting tomato, I haven't managed to grow it all that successfully yet but I am tomato challenged but the ones I did harvest were really nice. I have some seeds if you want to try it.
medbury what are those lush looking grasses behind your last tomato pic, LOL, sorry I couldn't take my eyes off them! |

I am totally overwhelmed by the number of different types of tomato. I have a few just coming into fruit - very late this year because we had such a cold Spring. I can't remember all the varieties, they were sent from Cosmic in Tassie. Imur Prior Beta and Sweet English are 2 of them. Black cherry is another. Oh I'll have to go and look at the labels............Purple Calabash, Wapsipinicon Peach, Black Zebra, Mortgage Lifter, and a couple who have carelessly lost their labels. We've had lots of volunteer Tommy Toes and Cherry toms so far, looking forward to the rest! Val |
