I could start on the curry jokes but I will take pity on you instead Cheryl

I made a batch of curry on the weekend that day it was raining and sooo cold.. I found all this rump steak in the freezer all diced up for me too, well I did it last year but just forgot Divided it in half got 5 serves of curry for me and 3 casseroles for Tony he has much bigger serves.. And it was nice too I had rice steamed zucchini and chutney with it Yummy.. I do like Indian Curries best..

No way he is a meat and three veg Guy.. Having said that it is amazing what he has eaten in the last 23 years, they never had any type of pasta dishes when he was a child or fried rice, stir fries, let alone Indian or Asian Curries no Mexican food either, I cannot even put garlic in the pasta sauce as he cannot eat anything spicy.

Some people just need a little push to try new foods

I have taught my kids that they have to try everything on their plate even if its food they havnt previously liked and especially if they are at someone elses house - plain old good manners, I can't stand - and am very hard on the kids that come here and say "oh I dont like that", I tell them, I am putting it on your plate and you will be expected to have a small taste, its the rule in our house you are too young to have a like/dont like list!! I'm sure they think I am a superbitch. With my own kids it's amazing even at 10 and 11 how often they have "liked" then "not liked" then "oh its my favourite food now that I tried it again" about things. Good thing is we can take them to any restaurant and they will give stuff ago and behave appropriately. You never know when you are going to discover your next favourite food - I loooove food soooo much

That's what I do Di, they have to at least give it a try. They all have one thing they don't particularly like and I will make allowances for that... everyone has something. I put all the food in the centre of the table and they help themselves but there is one rule... everyone has to have a bit of everything even if it is only a tiny bit. Apparently, a kid has to try something at least 10 times before they can really decide whether they like it or not and variety when they are young is the solution to fussy eaters. In my fathers day, meat and 3 vege was the norm, he still won't try anything else either but my mother tried at least

Must be

And I agree, my boy will eat anything and try anything, well he should now that he is an apprentice chef , He had his first feed of curry at 18 months of age and has always been easy to cook for Some foods he never liked so I never forced his after he tried it first, I figured that if I would not eat it why make him, but then again there has always just been the 2 of us

I agree though the only things I did not make my children try were mushrooms, now my 2nd eldest daughter eats them raw in salads and would not have a bar of them when she was young even fried lightly in butter..

Tony would eat anything but I will never forget how unwell he was after the garlic bread I made once and the chili con carne apparently one of his sisters is the same..

I was so sick after eating a vegetarian meal I made with sweet potatoes I shutter every time I go past them in the supermarket.. Mind you it could have been the spices in it that did not agree with me I dont remember what they were I threw them out.

I found it on google its Garam Masala with so many ingredients maybe it was the Cassia in it as I have eaten all the other spices over the years and had no problems

I think when we get older and realise some things are good for us, so we tend to eat the right things and stay away from the junk type foods
