Since we have had some good rain the last few days, we are being invaded by earwigs and click beetles. There are dozens of earwigs running around in the house and everyday my youngest has been catching all the click beetles up to a dozen or so a day. If that is how many that are coming inside, how many are outside?? It's no wonder my poor seedlings have been having problems surviving.

ewwwwwww, I have had an infestation of big black coffee tables for months (cockroaches), have not seen a click beetle in years , as a kid we would play with them till they clicked , yes deprived childhood, but used to amuse us

My basic weeding rule: if they grow in rows they're flowers;
if they don't they're weeds.

My youngest loves playing with click beetles... keeps her amused for hours They do get very annoying when the are stuck behind something noisy and you can hear a continual click as they try and get out.

We haven't seen too many cockroaches here at all surprisingly. When we first moved here there used to be a lot but haven't seen them for ages. We do get a few of the native ones but they are ok and usually stay outside.

I have baits but hate to use them, but I am finding a few each day, might have to put one under the fridge

It is actually a yukky mottled greyish coloured vinyl but does the job and doesn't show up too much dirt.
You can see it here (only picture I could find quickly that shows the floor)

Not so many stink beetles, a few but not plagues... yet anyway. Normally get plenty of flying termites and other flying ants after rain though... none so far after this lot of rain... fingers crossed.

Gail. Last night we had heaps of flying termites , we turn all inside lights out and put outside ones on.
This helps to keep them off the screens where they get stuck trying to get through..
We end up with heaps of discarded wings at the door ways in the morning.Pitta.

I hate those flying termites when they are around we have to block up the bottom of the screened sliding doors they crawl underneath and get in and fly around the lights and get flicked by the ceiling fans and land up down your neck and in your hair..
