I have grown a Green with pink for a few years and never had a inflorescence..
How come these two have them and I have only had them about one year..
The pics are a strange colour under the black shadecloth..




If I want to brush one on to the other is there a certain time I do it
These inflorescence only opened today..
Do only certain varieties do this.. Seeing I am new to these I have no idea..

No new growth on the white one yet Pitta, the cordy is OK though.

It is probably the tropical-like weather this year, the last couple of summers have been cooler more than hot. I don't know how to pollinate them but I presume they would be similar to most aroids and Ed put a link on somewhere about how to pollinate them.
Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is knowing not to use it in a fruit salad.
A ounce of common sense is worth more than a ton of intelligence.

Yes I would too Mary-Anne, Caladiums can be hard to pollinate. Some of my Caladiums produced only one leaf then straight into the inflo's

Thanks Ed Not that I understood much what I read. It was just too complicated for me anyway too many plants in that area now. And I dont want to stand on any of them..
