MA Great minds think alike, your idea is identical to what I'd suggested to Faye some time ago
One small difference ,I was only thinking of 2 star pickets,4 would be better.
I will talk that idea over with John. Pitta

Today started off well , at breakfast I spotted two baby stone curlews in the back yard looking amid the leaf litter for a morsel to eat.
Next John arrived and set too work planting 12 new Frangipani's.
And last night we received a few good heavy rain showers.The monsoon
has not dropped down as low as Cooktown yet but its around Weipa so not far away now. Pitta.

I've been watching the monsoons up your way and wondering how you were going... just send some down this way... even some of my frangis are wilting

great stuff pitta, the allamandas look so beautiful. It's a great feeling to get the plants in on time for the rain so I hope you get some soon to keep everything watered for a while.

Our garden helper, John, planted the new frangipani plants on the upper bank behind the house. They should put on a great display when they burst into flower.These are 7 of the 12 new ones planted .Pitta

They look good there Gwen... and to have soil like that to dig in... the bank we have behind the house where many of our frangis are has more stones in it than soil

Wow what a great smell you'll enjoy in a few years time

My basic weeding rule: if they grow in rows they're flowers;
if they don't they're weeds.
