Newly arrived in the post these two anthuriums from a generous GD member! Thanks so much. They have been attached to our fan palm trunk and 'bandaged on' to be sure they take.

One already had a red flower and I think the second is purple. They'll look very natural in this setting once the bandages come off!

We posted photos of these four new plants when they arrived in Pitta's Pots. Now they are in the ground along the edge of our 'proposed frangipani patch' (see reference and photo of our bare patch in Frangipani Darwin Yellow post page 1) and so far doing well!

The anthuriums will look great on the tree. I'd love to plant mine like that but it is too dry here.

You are also lucky you have that beautiful grow anything soil... those plants are going to love it.

The red volcanic soil is wondfrful for growing, just look at the rain forest trees.
Only one set back, the red oxide in the soil is very staining.Pitta
Another problem I cannot put mulch down becuuse the Turky's soon remove it to there nesting site even if 100 mts away.Pitta

Looks great

My basic weeding rule: if they grow in rows they're flowers;
if they don't they're weeds.

Yes even I can make things grow! Well it is the soil and natural rain and humidity I guess - not me as such!
