As the original Pitta's Cooktown Garden Post is getting full I thought I'd start another post on close up pics.
I like to do this from a photographic point of view and don't know all the correct names - I'll assume other members do unless anyone asks. Then I'll get mums help to nane them.

This first photo is of our Sterculia quadrifida - common name peanut tree.

They are great pics Faye. I like the lighting in the 2nd pic. Is the fruit of the peanut tree edible?

Yes Marleneann it is a pink tree begonia, Iused to have a beautiful deep red one to but somehow
it has gone to where lost plants go..Gail yes the peanut tree is edible the nut tastes similar to peanut, it is a native bush food.

MA. We have 2 more Thai Gold and a Double pinky one. Faye will get pics of them in the fullness of time.I once had 11 colours of Bouganvillea.

I have Thai gold also I have 25 varietes all up, about 29 plants I think as I have doubled up on a few I like best..
