As the original Pitta's Cooktown Garden Post is getting full I thought I'd start another post on close up pics. I like to do this from a photographic point of view and don't know all the correct names - I'll assume other members do unless anyone asks. Then I'll get mums help to nane them.
This first photo is of our Sterculia quadrifida - common name peanut tree.
Yes Marleneann it is a pink tree begonia, Iused to have a beautiful deep red one to but somehow it has gone to where lost plants go..Gail yes the peanut tree is edible the nut tastes similar to peanut, it is a native bush food.
