Lots of these out at present, they are so colourful.
So is the garden bed its littered with fallen petals.
They don't stay on the stems when the wind picks up..

This one has a little hidden friend amongst its petals.

tops shots Mary_Anne, love them all I think the upside down pic is rather cool though

My basic weeding rule: if they grow in rows they're flowers;
if they don't they're weeds.

All very pretty coloured flowers and great shots.

I planted ranunculis last year and never had any come up, haven't planted any this year though.

I think so but it was a very dry time when I planted them, only half my anemones grew... and only one of those has grown this year

Thanks Girls .. Cheryl that one is nodding would you believe I had to lay down on the mulch to take that then had a bugger of a time getting up.. I wont do that again, Oh I probably will if Spikey comes along I have to get down to his level..

They say necessity is the mother of invention, I wonder if there is a invention out there somewhere to help me get up as the arthritis seems to getting worse as I get older..

Did you see our little garden friend in the yellow one Gail. I was surprised my corms didn't rot when we got that 140mm of rain late May..

They say if you plant the wrong way up/down they will flower it just takes longer for them to do it.

I don't mind getting down to ground level but don't like getting up either Yes I saw the ladybird

I'm surprised that I had any bulbs left too after being so dry when they were planted last year and then having such a wet early winter this year. Plants are tougher than we give them credit for I think

Yes they have to be more so here in Qld Gail, as we go from one extreme to the other.
