Gail, I dont have the white star, very pretty, I laso have the E lily, mine has never flowered , what is the secret

My basic weeding rule: if they grow in rows they're flowers;
if they don't they're weeds.

All very pretty Gail..
Its a great time in the garden with everything awaking after its Winter sleep.

I have heaps of things flowering now too, one of the hippys have buds on it, that would be my white with the red, and I noticed a few days ago that the Babiana bulbs I planted in April have finally got a spray of buds on one, its very similar to a Freesia that is a first for me so I look forward to them flowering.

And the last Clivia has a bud coming through, it now has light as I pruned all the Hibiscus around it and its repaying me kindly..

That is only the 2nd white spring star to open so far. They don't seem as prolific as the blue.

I don't do anything special with the eucharist lily except water it then ignore it It desperately needs splitting up and repotting which I will have to do soon

Mary-Anne, it is only just starting, another month and things should be starting to look good especially if we have a few good showers of rain.

Mine is in light shade on the deck. They like warmth and after reading this http://www.merrifieldgardencenter.com/v.php?pg=414

I'm suprised that mine has been flowering over winter as the nights have been averaging between 0 & 3C

Mine is on the front porch, gets a bit of arvo sun, will leave it there and see what happens I guess

I'm hoping for some showers We've only had a couple of spits, not even enough to wet the bottom of the rain gauge... could have even been some birds flying over

It'll rain tomorrow for sure... down the Sunny Coast anyway as we are going down to meet the family for my father's 80th birthday.

I love that Eucharist lily. A friend had one a few years ago and I enjoyed that as well.
