I made sausage rolls for an easy Sunday night tea. I use pork mince and add vegies to make them a bit healthier so picked a couple of leaves of silverbeet, couple of carrots, capsicum, and small half grown onion (the only onions in the fridge were too big). I also picked an orange and mandarine for me and one of the kids who wanted a snack

These carrots give you twice the value

I cannot wait for summer veggies - a warm day today and it is GREAT to think veggies ahead! Love the carrots :-))

Not much is happening in my vegie garden except for the bandicoots I'm just waiting for spring to get more in now. The tomatoes are starting to ripen at last

They will grow here over winter but have to be started before winter. I was a bit late in getting mine going so even though there has been fruit on the plants they have taken ages to ripen, I actually had to buy some tomatoes a couple of weeks ago.

We have only bought tomatoes twice in the past 12 months. They like the lettuces are all over the block I will blame the birds for these..

Oh yes I remember those days Cheryl I used to plant seeds into little pots and leave them on the laundry window sill, with the little bit of sun that came in the window and the heat from the dryer often going for many hours a week, that germinated them ok ..
