Not only is it still alive it even has two small pumpkins on it.. Don't think I have seen any bees around though..

And we still have about 15 pumpkins stored in the shed..

Mary-Anne...funny you mention bees...I saw my first bee in our yard today for I don't know how long. It was just in the past week I said to someone that I had not seen a bee for ages!

It takes me ages to go through a pumpkin so I would be flat out trying to get through 15 in a year. I still have a few left from the last lot but I pulled those plants out during winter.
We always have bees around... and now the clover is starting so we have to watch walking barefoot through the clover

Sorry Daniel I did not mean Bees around in the entire garden, believe me we have plenty here, I meant to say in that spot as it right up against the house and that dry patch on the right side is under the house and there is nothing in flower there to bring the bees to the vine that has gone under the house, I will have to get under there and drag it out.
Gail we must have harvested fifty maybe more and I am sick of them as they are a very dark orange now the Kent ones, I prefer the lighter greys, we have given lots away lately.

I grew poppies for the first time last year and the bees where every where, so I have sown seed again this year Also sunflowers bring then in as well by the 100"s
My basic weeding rule: if they grow in rows they're flowers; if they don't they're weeds.

Daniel sow some bok choy seeds the flowers on them bring hundreds of bees the seeds also fly all over the place and grow again, passionfruit flowers bring many bees, and there will always be bees if you have a plants or two of French Lavender in the garden..
All my bee pics are taken on Bok choy this is a tiny native bee.

French Lavender flowers..

And don't forget the Roses...

Passionfruit

These pics have been on before..
