i've never seen a benjamina do that before. (in canada...we grow those indoors! LOL. but i used to have a job doing interior plant maintenance...and so i've seen my share of benjaminas) my gut says...it is dearly departed. has something happened to it? my first thoughts were...is there underground power there? has it had a shock? lightning maybe? something poisoning it? gas line? sewer? i'm not sure about the cold. we've got two here...and we've had frost...and it doesn't seem to bother them at all. i hope it does come back for you, mary-anne. it's sure a pretty tree.

No I think it started the week before that.. No sewer pipes on that side of the block, no gas here at all, could be cause by what gets washed in from the nine cats next door though it would go down the block not across, then all the other trees are Ok so its cannot be that, yes its a bit of a mystery..
