Acacia concurrens, also commonly known in Qld as black wattle (black wattle is different in other states). Most descriptions have it flowering in late winter but I've always known them to flower in both late winter and late summer. I know when I see them flowering that winter (or summer) is coming. Hairy grubs love them so I avoid wattles when the hairy grubs are around.

Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is knowing not to use it in a fruit salad.

Thanks so much Gail I have written it down in my book this time.

As I said on another Topic yesterday, there is certainly a chill in the air these mornings easy to tell its Autumn now

Yes ...Isn't it amazing the difference a few days make..

This is he only place I have lived in where you can tell the changing of the seasons in that first week..

It was just like mother nature flicked a switch on 1st March and said "ok, time for autumn!"
