This is another tree growing wild in the gully. It has tiny white/cream flowers and weird spiky (soft spikes) fruit. The backs of teh leaves are nearly white.

No luck here either Gail I got on to the Brisbane Rain-forest Plants site last night and looked for over one hour, hundreds on there got down to close to the end of the E's then fell asleep, woke up just after 2am, gee I have not done that for a while I must have been tired been doing a lot of digging lately..

Thanks for trying too Mary-Anne. I sat for an hour going through a natives book last night that I have - no pics, just descriptions so had to go through each one - with no luck.

There is a variety Pamela, the gully hasn't been cleared for a very long time, if ever, so is still very similar to what it would have been like before the rest of the land was cleared around settlement. Mainly subtropical rainforest plants but also many are weeds which have obviously sprung up over the years - some nice thorny vines and other plants too We would live to get into it and clean up the weeds and plant more native rainforest type plants but all takes time and money (fencing, etc).
