We didn't get a chance to go on the walks to see more plants but these ones caught my eye. The majority of plants grown at these gardens are endemic to the area.

This beautiful huge cycad, Lepidozamia peroffskyana is not even fully grown yet

An old cone from the centre... obviously a girl

I like this little Hibbertia vestita, a small shrub, and will have to look out for it next time I'm at a nursery.

This is another one I'm going to look for - Bracteantha bracteata - a paper daisy previously known as Helichrysum bracteatum. The flowers weren't open so took a photo of the label (also a good way to remember the names )

It was Mary-Anne.

Ed, yes we sneaked down without you all Actually, it was our usual Christmas family get-together for my side of the family. We normally meet at the gardens every year in the school holidays after Xmas as it is about halfway from where we all live. You could have come but you would have been roped in to play cricket instead of looking at plants
