We have had enough of the caterpillars shredding these two creeper the past months this is the third time so they are now gone. So are all the problems of leaves curling up full of caterpillars..

We planted them in September 04 and I doubt if we got 20 flowers of both creepers in that time.. I am glad they are gone next go all those 12 Lily Pillies they are nothing but trouble also..

What a relief...

Good for you Mary-Anne, I'm a great believer in getting rid of the trouble makers and malingerers. Lets hope you do better with the Wonga Wonga Vine.

Thanks Waratah I hope so too,
Natives they may be but not for my garden..

Now this Native is quite welcome to hang around dear Spikey its getting old its got that grey look about it just like me, it has been around for a few years now, I sat out on the driveway before talking to it for ages it is such a gentle creature and does not mind my company or my camera I guess its used to that now, it spends a lot of time in our garden at present I see it every day, plenty of good tucker here I reckon..

It's a shame that they don't do any good for you. Some plants just don't like some areas no matter how hard you try.

You could always try putting the lilypillies into pots around the garden. They make good topiaries too.

I love Spikey

Yes it is a shame Gail but those Lily Pillies are going a different colour with spots on them, a took a pic recently I will put it on later.

Now the bigger Illawarra Flame tree is coming down also, we decided to leave that smaller one near the back tank for another year and if it get attached by those moths then if all the caterpillars hatch in the leaves it will go too..
