Kelpies are nice dogs. My first dog was a kelpie x border collie but more kelpie - he looked like a dingo. He was a great dog and lived over 12yrs. I've just recently finished reading a book about the history of kelpies, it was only fiction and mainly romance (I don't like romance) but it also told the story of the history of kelpies - that part was quite interesting. I breed golden retrievers (3 dogs) and have recently added a new dog to our menagerie - Sara, a German Shepherd - that makes 4.
