I'm pleased I've finally taken the step to join this forum, I have been watching it for quite some time.

I live in Queensland and love my garden - with all this rain lately that we have had, everything is looking so happy. I am trying to develop a sort of sub tropical garden on my tiny lot - I will get there eventually. I love my frangipanies and bougies and bromeliads - lets face it I love them all!!

I also have two poodles who love their garden - they are always a great help.

Well thats enough for now, I have to go but I will be back tomorrow to say hallo on the tropical area, where my heart lies!

Thanks for having me

Shazza

Hi Shazza and a Big Welcome from another Queenslander I see you live over the other side of the highway to where I live.. Looking forward to hearing about your garden and your pets when you have the time.. Good to have someone else growing the same kind of plants..

Yes we are certainly getting plenty of rain the past few days down here in the SE corner last night was a good downpour for many hours such a shame there is so much flooding further South.

See you tomorrow then...

Hi Shazza, welcome. Looking forward to hearing all about your garden. I'm into the same type of garden, the only difference is we have 3 golden retrievers that like to help... unfortunately

I used to work at one of the service stations on the highway near your way many years ago when I was 17 and 18. I bet things have changed now!

welcome Shazza. I also two poodles - although one had a golden retriever dad but you'd never know except for his nature. Mine are standards. Tell us about yours.

Hi there, I'm back early for a few minutes. Great to see Sunny and Kito know where I am - isn't it a small old world!
You certainly would never know the place Kito, if you came back this way - its called progress....
My babies are Tommy the black mini poodle and Priscilla the chocolate toy poodle. They are very much into gardening except they like to do it in reverse - keeps me on my toes.

Oops its time for me to go again - see you tonight in the tropical pages!!
Regards to all and thanks for the welcome

Hi Sunny

I live one block away from Alexander Clark Park, which as you would know, id right on the Logan River. The park was closed to traffic this morning as the river was up so far, it flooded half the park! We've never seen it so high - though we have only been here around 5 years.

It is wonderful to see the rain, but I think this is enough for now, it's time to let all this water soak in. The garden is extremely happy so I really shouldn't complain.

Regards

Shazza

Hello Shazza and welcome to our friendly site.
I live in the Blue Mountains and have a traditional garden with roses, perennials and bulbs such as tulips, but I also have a native garden which I love the most.
Kito breeds Golden Retrievers and I have one from her called Sunny. Sunny is our second Golden and has my husband firmly wrapped around all 4 of her little paws.

Hi Shazza. May I add my welcome also. I am over in Bellbowrie - so, SW of Brisbane. I think you responded to my hibiscus cuttings question but at that point I did not realise you were new since I am fairly new on this forum myself; sorry.

All the best,

Daniel
