This tomato plant will remain nameless it just popped up from under the mulch one day so Tony put a stake near it, tied it as it got bigger and left it at that.

It lives under this canopy in the shade does not get much water
And when it does the trees grab any moisture.

Yet when I remember to look at it there are always tomatoes on it.
I just took them all off.. Its a real scraggy plant.

And the tomatoes come in all sizes though perfectly round.
The taste is how I remembered tommys tasting.
Not like the soft watery things we have in the garden beds.

What does that tell you I said to the Assistant gardener chief veggie waterer.

What he said.!!!

They don't need so much water do they..I wont tell you what he mumbled..

But did it sink in ...

Good looking tomatoes there. Less water means more flavour generally, it doesn't matter what the plant looks like, it's the fruit that counts.

Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is knowing not to use it in a fruit salad.

You are right there Gail and the taste from this scraggy bush is oh so different to the other ones. I just hope he listened when I said less water, I have told him lots of times not to water them too much but he take no notice.

sunny...if that's a volunteer...then you might be in luck. it might actually come true to its own seed. make sure you save some seed! give it a good name. sunny-something-or-other is a catchy one, eh?
