How clever - what a big change! They're really well done too, love the 3 dimensional effect.

Very tasteful ones we have here on the local shopping centre walls.
One is a Roman building and people, nice but not as good as another one around the corner a lake with waterlilies and dragon flies, all the bottom of the light posts around our area were painted with birds and animals for the Olympic Games in 2000 they are still there too..

That says a lot for City kids they are not too bad around our way.

Maybe some more of this sort of thing around will discourage those little... what you said, Richard

The council and a few others here have gotten together with the local teens and street-type kids and have been employing them through those unemployment type programs to paint pictures on various walls, etc in town. Those pictures look good and don't seem to be targetted like plain blank canvases. Also near the skateboard park, they put in a graffiti wall especially for the kids and now there is much less graffiti on the concrete round the skateboard area. There is the occasional lot of graffiti around but not as bad as it used to be. The worst offenders here are the kids from the cities like Brisbane and Sunshine Coast who have nothing better to do and hop onto the trains and stop at various towns on the train lines and have "fun" with their paint tins... quite a few being caught in the act lately too

My basic weeding rule: if they grow in rows they're flowers;
if they don't they're weeds.
