Posted - 27/12/2008 : 06:17:36 Thanks Gail.. Yes and if I seen another Pitcher plant cheap I would buy it too, they certainly are a interesting plant I like the small pitchers before the top opens they are so different..

Posted - 27/12/2008 : 04:35:37 More pretty ones
If I saw a pitcher plant around cheap enough I'd get one, they have curiosity value and I like anything that is 'different'... besides anything that eats pests is welcome in my garden
It looks like I will be late this month with my December ones... not that there is a lot of new plants flowering, just ones that have been flowering for the last couple of months. I will get there!

Posted - 26/12/2008 : 19:04:29 Pitta if you want one you go ahead and buy one. They are ok its just that I would rather other plants for that kind of money..

Posted - 26/12/2008 : 15:51:54 Pitta this one is in a hanging basket, hanging from the branch of a Calliandra, it gets no sun and I water it often I only bought it in June with a couple of pitchers hanging from it, they soon died off and now its coming to life again.. I dont feed it as I read up a bit and it more or less said to leave it alone and give it a rain-forest environment to live in so that's what I have done..
Nothing but water and I have never let it dry out and its coming on fine. Its a personal choice I think, I wanted one because I did not have one and I wanted to see if I could grow them and I am happy now but would I buy another one no as I went there for the purpose of buying another Orchid and did not get it as these were there with them

Posted - 26/12/2008 : 14:44:29 No Name Pitta the cuttings were given to me by a neighbour when we were building the house, she did not know the name either. The colour has a lot to do with the time of the evening the photo was taken also as I dont take many pics during the day unless it cloudy the flowers also fade to a lighter colour after a few days and as Summer moves on the pink one and fruit salad ones fade more than the others..
