no problem MA, it is pretty and really stands out with those markings, just let me know when/if you want some at any time.

Pitta I thought those black marks were so neat the first time I saw them. all of the plants ended up like that with a dotted line. I think it looks cute

Ota that is beautiful.. I have got three new plants that I aquired on my weeks holiday up the Sunshine Coast they have not flowered as yet but I know there is a bright yellow one amongst them.

If by chance the yellow one does not survive then I will let you know if that is alright as I like that one, and Thank you for your kind offer..

maryanne I have yellow ones, I grew them from seed and just about all of them grew on to be the same yellow. If you want me to save some seed let me know because they are real easy to grow. I can post a pic of the flower if you want

here it is...

Yes I agree Cheryl and when those pieces that got caught in my sandals start flowering it will be even better.

I planted three the other day, so I hope one of them is the bright yellow one..

Nice combo MA

My basic weeding rule: if they grow in rows they're flowers;
if they don't they're weeds.

Pitta I realize that where you live is much wetter and more humid for a longer time and its only been three weeks or so that we have had so much rain and the humidity is oppressive most days, but mine are doing fine.

Would you believe Pitta I have more problems with mine in the dry season when I don't waste water on them those pink ones above have been in the garden for seven years now and multiply so fast I am always ripping them up and putting them in the wheelie bin..

Certainly worth a try...

Yes Gail I was thinking of a mildew problem.Sites I looked up say they are from Sth Africa so they would be worth a trial if I try some of the new types,Ill check with the nursery man in Cairns.Pitta.

Yes it does make you happy just looking at it Gail.
And I have it planted next to this dusty pink one..

They may be prone to fungal diseases during the humid times as they have fleshy leaves. Some types of gazanias can be weedy but that is usually the older common yellow and similar. Most of the newer ones don't seem to have that problem. You could try them in a hanger where they have good drainage and air flow.
