Posted - 06/01/2008 : 09:35:07 First off they must be on a photo storage website somewhere on the WWW. Most of us here use Photobucket its free and you can get it here http://photobucket.com
Don't forget to resize them, 600x450 is good size for a forum in case some Members are on dial-up. Please no more than 800x600 as it pulls the page out of shape. This is a easy resizer http://bluefive.pair.com/pixresizer.htm
Uploaded you photo to your Album in Photobucket there are tutorial on that site to help you there.
Back on Garden Delights you will see what Forum you want to post on. Say its Roses click on that then on New Topic. Type a little about your photo its a good idea to put the name of the plants on.
Go into your Photobucket Album find your photo its just copy and paste Left click the bottom line The IMG Code

Back to your new Topic where you typed about it go to the next line Right click and paste.

There it is.. Charles de Gaulle a beautiful Mauve Rose
You can put a few photos on one topic.
If you are having any Problems please let one of us know.
Tell us on Announcements.. We are here to Help..
Looking forward to seeing photos of your beautiful gardens and plants.

Posted - 04/05/2008 : 14:40:47 To create thumbnails on Photobucket, follow the directions above but instead of copying the code from the 4 lines below the picture, check the little square box - scroll down to the bottom of the page where it says "generate html and image code ( or something like that). Click on this and a page appears with several options. For forums, the third one down is the one to select. Enter into your chosen forum using the image option, the clode will appear. Make sure you delete any additional code as one might be superfluous depending on the forum you are on. |

Posted - 04/05/2008 : 09:39:12 Do thumbnails work on here as well as I was going to do a little story about my self and my garden, lots of pics !!
My basic weeding rule: if they grow in rows they're flowers; if they don't they're weeds. |

Posted - 09/01/2008 : 15:56:21 I agree - from someone who often does not get much time to post to the forum and therefore forgets how to post photos in between sessions, it is great to have that there. Thank you and well done Sunny. Thanks Tessa

Posted - 07/01/2008 : 11:02:51 I think new members are often asking how to post pics and so a thread of that is friendly rather than anything else ... just my idea |

Posted - 07/01/2008 : 04:53:38 Tessa - this is a very clear explanation. Can we make it a sticky so it stays in the "welcome to newcomers" section? |
